I was told while in the Chemist that both signs were offered to the Council [ to purchase I believe ] but were turned down also that the Library wanted to have them in the Archives they have now been removed from the Fishing Shop

of course they were rejected fred, this is tredegar, not ebbw vale. i think the archive section in the library would be an ideal place for them, and only a stones throw away from their original home.

I Care Very Much About Facts Like This .. !!, But There's Two sides to Every Story ... Now This is My take on the Fact ..... A Man Goes to an Auction to Succesfully Purchase The Property that He Want'd to buy, Obviously He was the Highest Bidder .. , During renovations He came across these Remarkable Historical Signs, Which He decided to share with Everyone Rather than just throw them in a skip or just burn them, and got into Trouble by doing so ... ... I Was Told that He was told, that they Had to stay on the building or else ... !!! .......... I Was also told that if they thought that they were So signifcant They should take them to the Park or Somewhere But that Idea was rejected .......... !!! ????

So sad to read this our town has a rich and interesting past,so much has been vandalised it's a shame that this sign could have been covered up for future generations to discover
we in Tredegar have an industrial story no less than coalbrookdale in shropshire,But look at them and take a look at our town
