Posted - 12/03/2012 : 07:27:05 I've had a week off work and spent a large chunk of it in the garden. I've put down ovwer 3000L of bark, dug over one of the beds and planted Broad beans, carrots, turnips & parsnips as well as a couple of potatoes in potato sacks. I uncovered the overwintering peas and Elephant Garlic and put some beetroot in under fleece. I've planted a couple of shrubs in pots and half a dozen alpines around the pond. I've trimmed the conifers and planted 14 Primulas in the front garden. The propogator now has pots with my tomatoes (3 types), Chillis and sweet peas in and the greenhouse has the pots with my sprout seeds in. So a busy few days!
The new stuff I'm trying this year are the overwintering peas, purple potatoes (flesh is purple not just the skin) and Spaghetti squash.
So what are everybody else upto? |
