my old shed has fallen apart due to rising wood rot,so i take myself off to local d.i.y and what i've seen so far does not inspire so has anyone on here ever had a go of building they own shed if so are you awilling to share your plans.the scale of building i want is about 8foot by 10 foot or 10 by 10 thank you.
ok i was shooting for the moon on this one but at least fifty people read this and no suggestions mmmm mr jones the woodwork teacher would be hopping mad by now....so my idea is to make small square frames and bolt them all together but i stuck on how to do the floor, who i really need is my old neighbour ron harding perhaps pete can ask him would be awilling to do a woodwork problem solving page on the small jobs.dream on idps
I made a gardern shed out of 10 used shuttering boards and a few lengths of 2x1 i had no plans, but the roof was two boards as is no cutting made pine ends (2) and a door with a sheet of ridgid pvc for window and it lasted for five years before it was dismantled i only have scoolboy woodwork experience but it was easy to do with a few power tools............have a go!
thank you young robert but how did you put a floor in i'm about the same level in woodwork as yourself,i fel a bit stumped on the damm floor is it a case of i can't see the...noooo! don't go there thank you anyway
I made the floor by making a frame on the top so as to screw the walls on same on the roof i laid the shed on a bed of chippings with 2x2 slabs on top with a plastic membrane to stop damp getting to the floor hope this helps you can make a better, cheaper shed than buying a diy job from b+q
