Went up the garden festival site today just for other half to get some waterproofing stuff from the camping shop, again didn't take a bag as only went for that, and said no too one when he paid but then i bought something in there so ended up paying for a bag.4p--not 5p and the nice woman said 'i'll give you a big bag just incase you buy anything else in other shops'. Thank god she did as i ended up with cards, golf balls, candles and thermal socks all in the one bag. Problem was that when i took everything out at home everything smelt of the bloody yankie candle i bought,so everything smells of welcome christmas which is not so good on a wedding card lol. The other thing i noticed up there was a hell of a lot of people were walking about with no bags at all, just items in their hands, how can anyone tell if it's been nicked? |

Hi Fizz/Cupcake, sorry for not replying sooner been one of those weekends and not getting any better [oh well!]. I bought a small votive sample [not in a jar] in the Hallmark card shop. It was only 80odd pence [i looked at this one somewhere else, not Jan's though, and it was £1.75] so i knew it was cheap. I don't mind spending that especially as i'm not sure if i like the smell yet so wasting 80p is better than £1.80. |

Lucky you cupcake all the little polluters must be around here.
Barbed wire up, land mines laid on the path fang the dog not been fed for 3 days now ravenous, and the G.O.L. has her broom at hand along with the witches brew for turning little kiddies (and bigger ones) into toads.

Been quiet here too cupcake, the only kids i've seen out trick/treating were kids in Woodfield Court [honest],not seen/heard any others. Even in Glyn it was quiet,no-one about when i was down there.Hope you got loads of sweets for the little devils GOM but by the sounds of it it's more eggs and flour if they make it to your door? But got a few fireworks going off though. |

| Gom.In the words of one Victor Meldrew "I don't believe it". I agree with you AGAIN! I don't like trick or treaters. When I was young we used to duck for apples and play games but we never went door to door and asked for money. We'd never even heard of 'trick or treat'. |

Not had one either cupcake. It's the same as a few other things, our old tradition's are dying out and being replaced with trendy American one's. |

Gosh what a job I have on this morning the G.O.L.s brew didn't work it turned all the little toads into slugs and the slimy mess that has been left by them is disgusting.
There were many around here but most were accompanied by there mum or dad that was good to see, mind not one knocked on our door maybe because we had padlocked the gate along with all the other security measures.

G.O.M.
O and by the way gooooooooooooooooooooood morning one and all,all and one.

I don't mind small children at halloween, it's the older sullen looking teenagers shifting from foot to foot and muttering "trick or treat" somehow I don't think they want sweets or chocolate. Yes Cupcake fireworks going off around here too, as you say raining or not, it's supposed to rain saturday night which is a shame for the little kids who look forward to fireworks on ONE night instead of the morons who set them off at any time usually after ten oclock. |
