We cant help Peacocks and the 10,000 workers BUT we can give Queenie a 1000 boat flotilla

Is there something wrong here?

Another case of the many looking after the few.

Sorry GOM i don't have a clue lol.
To be honest with you i haven't even been in there yet as i haven't really needed anything after xmas [only some fresh, really thought i would have been in there by now though] and picked that up when i went to Asda to get a birthday card [didn't get it in town as the shops didn't have the one i wanted, now if Birthdays was still open i could have got it in there for sure like i always used too].But if the bigger one in Ebbw doesn't have a lot of choice as i seen yesterday then it will be worse if it's a smaller one.
Didn't Chris98 put the opening times on here in the Tesco thread? Think it was 7am-11pm.
But i did pick up a leaflet of offers yesterday in Ebbw and in there was Golden Wonder crisps 6 pack down from £1.60 odd to £1. Well some offer---not!!! If you go to Home bargins it's 69p---- yes 69p for a pack of 6 and that's their normal price. So yet again Tesco is ripping off/fooling the customer into thinking 'oh that's a bargin' abd it's not!

Hi Kay the G.O.L is not overly impressed with the little Tescos and has never seen many in there, and tells me its not a lot of good for a weekly shop just the odd bits and bobs you may have run out of.

Looks like Peacocks will be going so gain 1 loose 1. There's something wrong with the systems when we bail out RBS but they wont help Peacocks.

Yeah GOM, it's strange that we own them but the way they behave you would never think that would you? What would have happened if the taxpayer had done to them/had the same attitude to them as they have to Peacocks? Another case of i'm alright jack bugger the rest of you!
Heard that Tesco are starting a voucher offer/promo to try ang get shoppers back through their doors. Must really be in trouble? Why don't they just get rid of the clubcard [it's rubbish anyway, you have to spend a fortune to get anything really worth while back] and just lower the prices? Not rocket science is it!!!

Am I the only person sick of LONDON being the centre of all the attractions? If were all in this together as Camaron keeps telling us why doesn't he start spreading the the so called attractions around the country?

Why is it that were all supposed to be the Queens loyal subjects (yea right) doesn't she hold her BIG events around the country and not just in back garden?

Talking about back gardens as the government want us all now to put by £60,000 to pay for our old age (don't know how they think we are going to find that kind of money) isn't time the Queen was down sized to a nice little semi for her and Philly, show whats good for her, is good for all set an example and save the tax payers millions.

Second richest woman in the UK after JK and yet still sponging off us along with all her cronies.

Just what is going on with the policing in Tredegar ?????

Yes I know we haven't any? have we?

Lets take yesterday as a normal day and what have we had. Mini off road bikes roaring around the roads with no tax, insurance, mot, unroadworthy bikes, full size off road bikes, parking on yellow lines and pavements, early last evening (7 ish) drunks still drinking from cans (that end up as litter on the path) Urinating on the pate in full view of passing cars and walkers, and late night drunks shouting around the roads waking people up from there sleep.

Yes just another normal Saturday evening and what are the police doing about it in Tredegar ????? NOT A THING. Is this what we should have to put up with? Is this the low we have come to?

Were paying for a police service and getting nothing for it, O sorry there all up in Ebbw Vale maybe.

What it comes down to is that Tredegar will become even more lawless that it already is and the police council and councillors along with the MP N.Smith don't really give a fig as long as it doesn't affect them and there income, just like oue secretary of state not even living in Wales and selling her house before the train goes past the bottom of her road.

These lawless people know they will get away with what ever they do as there is no body to stop them, so they continue to do just as they wish.

Part of an email I received to day

---------------

I wish to inform you that as a result of some local policing changes, I am no longer responsible for providing Neighbourhood Policing at Tredegar. The Inspector responsible for providing this service is Inspector Russell Thomas who is based at Tredegar police station. He took over this role as of 1st January 2012.

In the meantime I would like to assure you once more, that the policing team in Tredegar continue to provide 24/7 policing in all three wards.

The Chief Constable of Gwent Police, Mrs Carmel Napier, set the following targets for this financial year ( commenced 1st April 2011 and ends 31st March 2012).

1. A Reduction in crime by 7%

2. A reduction in anti-social behaviour by 7%.

You will be pleased to hear that as of today, 23rd January 2012, Tredegar is already showing a reduction in crime by 6.9% and a reduction in anti -social behaviour of 23.7%. This equates to a total of 408 less victims of crime and anti-social behaviour, compared to last year ( 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2011 ).

------------------

Well there we have it then all is well crime is down and they think there doing a good job it seems.

I would guess (after what we have seen this weekend it boils down to the fact that the reporting of crime is the only thing to have gone down as there seems no point in reporting it because the police do not attend crime unless they think its important.

Maybe another reason apart from people sick of reporting crime and lack of police interest in turning up to scene of the crime, is if you dial 101 YOU now have to pay for the calls. try 350999 it still works.

Asda was quiet yesterday but the heads of the Vally road was a police heaven speed traps van some 5 diddly odd police cars drivers getting stopped left right and centre so no speeding from me.

Guess they were in need in getting crime reduction up.

Pity they don't spend as much effort on theses kids on mini and full size off road bikers riding around Tredegar.

Went up to Morrisons early monday evening and it was as dead.Carpark was empty, other half wondered if they had closed early, that's how empty the carpark was.
I did go into Tesco in town last sat for a few things but they didn't have most of what i wanted and that's why i ended up in Morrisons on monday. It's really small, even smaller than the 2 old co-op we used to have down here years ago and that's saying something.Nothing more in there that the shop in Park Place doesn't have.

Hi Kay and cupcake you both well?

G.O.L. was saying she cant really see the point in the Tescos shop as you still have to go to a proper shop to do the main shop and the odd tome shes been in there they don't seem to have what she wants of have sold out.

Had to go to Blackwood this morning for fenders second jab and the town looked very busy the car park was full, and you have to pay to park.

And so the BANKERS get the mega bonuses yet again, at our expense and were told well he dose deserve it.

When will we get someone in authority that will sought these people out once and for all and bring them into the real world.

The workers wage packets are getting worth less by the week people loose there jobs by the day, the family in the street are the ones suffering the most and these fat cats sit back and watch there bank balance grow and grow.

Just goes to show how the police have no regard for the public purse, if they were paying for the fuel they would have turned the engine off, but poor things i guess they didn't want to get cold. Wonder if they leave there central heating on at home all the time?

Did you see that policeman the wrote off a £33,000 in marked VW (0 to 60 in 5. diddly secs top speed of 155) he was just out on a road testing trip guess it was just a little to much for him. No other car involved.

The car park down the far end on the left just past the fuel station and roundabout, not far from the bus station and the music shop. 50p an hour 70p for 2 and so on.
