anyone else having similar problems?
Some of the digital signals have been "moved" as phase one of the big switchover to digital. You'll need to re-tune your freeview box. It's fairly straightforward; basic instructions are here http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/how_do_i_switch/connections__and__retuning/retuning_instructions You'll need to do the same again when phase two is completed on 31 March.
(skip this bit if you're not interested in the technical details) The analogue BBC2 signal on channel 41 has been switched off, and mux PSB1 (BBC A) has been started instead. More details at http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=ST110742

Slightly off topic but as I have Sky downstairs I haven't really bothered with Freeview. I'm now looking to save a bit of cash so want Freeview but don't have a terrestrial aerial. Can anyone recommend someone cheap/ reliable to install one for me? Thanks :)

I don't know about cheap, but if you look for someone licenced by the trade organisation http://www.rdi-lb.tv they should be reliable.

hello Samstan,
if you already have sky, but no aerial - it should work out cheaper for you to get a freesat box - uses the same lead from the sky dish
if you havent got an aerial, your looking at probably £50 for one, and the cost of the free view box
best regards |

| Thanks Sean I had looked at Freesat but if I have an aerial put in I can run it to aerial points in the attic room and the bedroom for additional TVs if wanted with cheap freeview boxes on each. That's why I decided to go the aerial freeview route rather than Freesat. |
