town pubs

just heard today 21/08/03 that the people that run the castle in tred are leaving, i
hpoe this is true what great news this is. i remember the castle from the late 70s and
early 80s when it was the top pub in the town but just look how far it has droped from
then, at present it must be at its lowest drugs and extreme violence seem to rule. i can
only hope with others like myself that the next couple that take on the place are vetted
by the police, and on that note the same thing should be done to the old T A its a shame
to see the once best two pubs in the town in this state, what puzzels me is why were two
down to earth people hounded from the T A about two years ago then it is placed in the
hands of people that has run the place shamfully in to the ground, well maybe thats just
tredegar for you, that message that the guy from devon placed on here about his visit to
tredegar sums it all up.
