Posted - 13/04/2011 : 13:02:20 I remember being told that when DH Davies was down there and next to the Snooker hall that one particular table in the Snooker hall was left empty for the garage in case they wanted to use it |

Posted - 12/04/2011 : 20:42:41 This is not the best photograph in the world but shows what was where the Park Place roundabout is located now. the lump of concrete to the left of the garage was the base of the cattle pen where animals arrived by train and were driven/walked up to the slaughter house next to the Olimpia cinema, to the right was where the tredegar no1 signel box was located and also controled the level crossing gates (the signel box sign is now in the railway museum at kideminster, severn valley railway) is that a HA VIVA on the forcourt? so quite a story for a boring photograph |
