Posted - 29/06/2021 : 18:22:18 In the photos of the ladies in top hats and bow ties, JE45 correctly identified my nan Vera Price of Victoria Terrace next to the drummer boy. Amazing to see these photos as we have not got them in the family. Nan passed away 2011 so never got chance to show her but great to have. |

Posted - 01/05/2011 : 15:56:16 Milkman and Morgan are both correct. We did live in 26 Victoria and it is the second house in on the photos (the only one with a painted front). The photographer must have been standing in the gap which is between no27 and no28 |

on both photos no9 (grayhams navigation) smoke stack is in center rear so not victoria, maybe kimberley?if you were a real detective a photo could be taken from the exact spot that the photographer stood all those years ago,i did this in a photo of james st, it was a queer feeling looking through the lens from the same spot and seeing the spot where those people were, and all have passed away............odd feeling! and 45 years earlier i was the photographer! |

Posted - 27/04/2011 : 08:41:08 Sorry Morgan but I presumed that as Roger Giles was on the photograph it must have been York Terrace. His house was in front of mine, No. 49 Kimberley Tce.
Now names ring a bell with me - Merle Wharton and Dorothy Dowswell.
Thanks again.
