Posted - 09/12/2020 : 20:04:31 and of course see link below for the Starlight Parade shows there till 1981 - many happy memories - can still recall the firm instructions not to lean on the walls as we lined up backstage- otherwise we'd be covered in coal dust!! That passage way where we waited to walk on stage was always freezing!

Posted - 09/12/2020 : 19:26:50 Seeing the "Hall" reminds me of queuing, usually on a Sat night for downstairs. If you were near the front you queued in the "tunnel", no light at all and a strong smell of diesel (or something similar). Such a relief to be allowed in. Those for "upstairs". (Hell that was 1/3d) Queued outside which was much better except when it rained (No, not in Tredegar) The pic of Ivor's coach also brought back memories b |
