On the subject of "paper rounds"
My first paper round for W.H.Smith started on the dram road and then delivering on the way up to the top row in Trefil.
It was a hard slog on the way up, but a great ride back down.
later in the morning I would walk to school with D.W.James.
With ten shillings in my pocket at the end of the week for delivering the papers and tips off customers when collecting the paper money.
I felt as rich as a King.

I had a paper round with Fox on the tip.Alldown Glyn Ter Brompton.In the school holidays Treod and Bedwellty Pits Quite a walk.Then the Argus in the evening.around parts of Georgetown 7/6 a week
