The HeadMaster Was Gordon Davies ..... He Was Only ever referred to By His Nickname , Not To His face Though , I was talking to an Elderly Gent In abergavenny and when i mentioned i was From Tredegar he Said His best Friend Worked At The Comp and His name was Gordon Davies and Judging from my Age i would have Known Him i Said His name Sounds Familiar But I Couldnt Put A Face To Him so I Asked What Did He Teach ? The Gentleman Replied " Oh He Didnt Teach Anything He Was The Headmaster " I Said "That Explains It Then " , " I Only Knew him By His Nickname " "He Had A Nickname " the Gent Enquired Surprised I Said " He WAS The Headmaster ... Of Course He Had A Nickname " He Asked What It was and i Told Him Smirkingly " Concorde " he Sort Of Shouted " The Ears ..... And The Nose "Whilst doing Hand Gestures and couldnt Stop Laughing. He Then Told me He Was Meeting Mr Davies For A Drink in The Club that Evening and would Wind Him Up With His New Information

My sister reliably informs me it was about 1985 and they were taking part in a fancy dress fun run at the school. Line up left to right: Gordon "Concord" Davies, Paula Davies, Julie Watkins, Jonathan Davies, Lisa Bell, Richard Ellis and Andrew Morgan.
