Looks as if the OLD PATCHES has been ruined by mountain bikes

A lot of bike trails up there darole.
The last time I was up there was around 1985 on my push bike

cant say that I am a lover of mountain bikes destroying the country side, but each to his own

I would agree with the last post there's enough room for everyone
do mountain bike destroy landscape? i think not its a bike for goodness sake!
however off road motor bikes are another matter!

These are mostly spoil heaps, I don't see how riding a mountain bike over them is spoiling anything.

Now riding motor bikes and 4 x 4's over open country side/common land and causing path degradation, noise pollution and soil erosion etc that's not acceptable in my book.

We have so many tips, disused quarries and rail lines there should be enough variety for all to enjoy instead of trashing everything.

You can ring 101 if off road motor bikes or 4x4's are on council or forestry owned land, it's an offence. They've always driven off though by the time the police have arrived. They've destroyed the area through the trees up St. James's reservoir, unable to walk through there to Troed. now
