As there was some discussion about the Lymp and the Workmen's Hall in another thread, I dug out some original programmes, together with a few other bits and bobs which I thought would be interesting for forum members to see.
I will forward them to Pierre so that he can add them to this thread.

I have quite a few others mainly of the Carl Rosa Opera Co. which used to perform frequently at the Olympia, unfortunately the year is not printed on them just the date i.e. Friday and Saturday Nov 28th & 29th. They have interesting contents though and contain performances of Pagliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, Il Travatore, Romeo and Juliet etc.

I look forward to seeing them Titch. I do know that the Lymp used to hold live shows, but I think it must have been before my time. I only remember going to the Workmen's Hall, and some world class artistes performed in both venues.

These are so interesting (and in such good condition), "proceeds towards funds for erecting huts for ex-service men" and "Tredegar aid to Russia" anyone know anything about these?
