It's just bewildering how some dog owners can walk their dog, pick up the dog mess, put it in bright blue bags and then deposit them on the pavements, grass verges and even throw them onto peoples properties and wedge them between garden walls. Amazingly this is done when there are two dog bins within easy walking distance in the Whitworth & St James Park area. Great you are picking up the dog mess but for all the residents sake put it in a red dog bin afterwards. Who knows maybe someone will have mobile camera footage in the near future - watch this space!

Talk of getting all dogs DNA recorded, so the owner can get "caught" after the event.

Great idea, buy not the best job in the world :o)

It will be interesting to see what happens now
1. They will change the colour of the bags to regular black ones
2. Don't use a bag and just leave it for adults and children to tread in, especially on their way to school
3. Or hopefully put it in a red dog bin like our family do, we have dogs but don't expect others to clean up after them.
Fingers crossed It will be No 3

Iíve even seen piles of dog mess UNDER the bins locally - and I live on a route used to an infant/junior school.

The hill at the side of the Gospel Hall has been a favourite with irresponsible owners too. The pavement has been so littered with dog mess that I have seen parents, children & babies in prams walking to school on the road to avoid getting it on their shoes.

Ever so glad the snow is disappearing, shame it's revealing all the discarded dog mess in blue bags now. It is particularly bad at the bottom of St.James Park hill near Whitworth Terrace and the rear lane of Whitworth Terrace too. Outside one detached residential property there are numerous bags left outside, near their front door. If anyone knows who is doing this please report them to Blaenau Gwent Council.

At 8.15pm a man in a yellow jacket was caught throwing yet another blue bag of dog mess. The man in question has been asked by a resident to stop doing this. This man with a small dog has been throwing them onto roof tops, gardens etc., hopefully he has got the message that this is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. PUT IT IN A RED DOG BIN!!!!!
