There was a Lloyds Bank in Tred next down from the Cong.
Just a guess

Thanks for the guess, its actually by the Fern Bank, please see photo.

I still got no idea what "Lloyd" was ?

I presume "Lloyd" might be relating to the Fernbank as a Bank.
Maybe it's Lloyds Bank hencing Fern Bank.

Page 151 of Kelly's Directory of Monmouthshire & S Wales, 1895 http://specialcollections.le.ac.uk/digital/collection/p16445coll4/id/337268 lists a John Lloyd as a private resident of Fernbank, Tredegar. Could there be a connection?
