I can remember as a child going on walks with my grandfather along the mountainside collecting sheep manure in a metal pail. He used this mixed with water as fertilizer for his allotment. I must say his allotment was always full of produce. Just wondering does anyone else use this as fertilizer these days
We don't have to collect it where I live, it's a bother trying to keep sheep out of the gardens, last week a lamb got stuck in my front garden, the mother was making a hell of a racket and I had to catch the little b****r before the mother attacked me
I can remember walking down the bypass with the dog and saw a sheep with it's head stuck in a wire fence bleating like mad. It panicked more when it saw my dog so close. I had to tie the dogs lead to a nearby fence and go and wrestle with the sheep for a while until it became free. What a to do! I've had cattle with huge horns the other year along our street and eating the foliage growing in the garden. Not too keen on seeing those, rather the sheep if I had a choice.
