Be careful walking or jogging on the bypass pavement - from Tredegar Comprehensive to Heathfield roundabout. Lots of gravel is covering the pavement all the way down, not ideal for dog walking either. The road looks an improvement though - hope they do Earl Street in the near future it's really bad along there with all the potholes. |

I’m glad you raised this topic. I’ve walked it a few times since the road has been resurfaced and it is indeed difficult to walk on. I’ve also met several cyclists that have punctured tyres on the gravel. |

If I walked this route I would be informing the council of this problem. The contractors should be cleaning up this mess, but I am sure the council will act pretty quickly, if you contact them, or easier still, contact your local councillor. |

Great news, thanks for the update - I'm sure Sandie Shaw wouldn't have wanted a stroll down that way before the clean up. |

Lots of loose gravel stones back on the bypass pavement again today, all the way down from comp - Heathfield roundabout, not very pleasant to walk on and be especially careful if you are jogging/cycling/dog walking |

Where do you think it's coming from, could it be overspray from a gritter?. |

roads were 're-surfaced months ago'. look into surface dressing and the problems caused by it. as usual cost cutting by the council. |

Doesn't look like stones from a gritter lorry, same kind as before blackish like in August 20. It must be flying off the surface of the road as the cars speed past not very pleasant if that hits you when walking. |
