Can someone tell me who actually cares about the welfare of sheep. Thereís been sheep in Lidlís car park poor things have no access to water. Farmers should be ashamed come on Blaenau Gwent council help sort this out the weather is extremely hot Iím sure I saw a young lady try and give them water today but that is not going to be enough to keep them hydrated.
I have complained about the flocks of sheep wandering the streets a few times, it's not fair on the poor animals which are sometimes hit by cars or chased by dogs, I have been snapped at that the council doesn't have a pound. A few weeks ago a relative moved an injured foal off the Rhymney road, phoned the council to see if they could contact the farmer and was told they didn't have that information as they were working from home, the foal died It seems that the farmers and the council just don't care.
What an awful read that was Ddraig - a case of animal neglect if you ask me. I have read that a man has been putting water out for the sheep in Lidl's so others have been aware of their plight too. I can recall being in Asda Merthyr Tydfil car park years ago and it was a very bad winter, ice covering the ground. Lots of sheep were huddled in the covered trolley bays, it was a very sorry sight. My shopping trolley was full of bread when I left the store - for the sheep! I don't think it's any different from owning a dog - you wouldn't expect other people to look after your animal.
