Hello Everyone.
Hope your all ok and that the New Year has been a good start.
HELP I was explaining to my Grandaughter that back in my Time,my Mother,Grandmother etc.always Washed the Family Clothing and sheets etc Always on a Monday and then hung them all out to dry on the outside line.She replied why on a Monday,and why were,nt they at work. my answer was because all men went back to work and women stayed at home and that was the way of life then.I thought I had a photograph of all the streets showing back gardens in Georgetown with the Washing out but I can,t find it.Has anyone out there got some photo.s that I can show my Grandchildren?

The pic of an old car at The Rec shows Trevor The Milk sitting at left hand side. The car was the property of Charlie Hill (the buses)

Yes butch= Follow the earlier connection showing the clothes line pic.
There are more pics under the heading "Recreation Ground".
