Neil Spooner

I guess everyone is now aware of the untimely death of Neil Spooner.
Neil's association with the club as a player and numerous official duties has spanned approximately 32 years , he will be sorely missed not only for his commitment to the club and Rugby generally but as a very personal friend.

Neil's funeral will takes place at 11 a.m. Thursday 27th August 2009 at Siloh, Bridge Street, Tredegar. Followed by committal at Llwydcoed Crematorium Aberdare and the clubhouse for refreshments.

The family has requested no flowers with donations to be made in lieu to the British Heart Foundation.

Our thoughts are with Lynne, Gemma, Andrew and all of the family at this very sad time

Was very sad to hear of the loss on the weekend. A great character, who will be deeply missed.

Our deepest sympathies to all.

Hi Paul Really sad news. Sympathy to Lynne and the family. Neil was a great character who put in a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes. He will be sorely missed.
Paul, if you could contact me I would be grateful
