Just read this on sky text:
Local goverment watchdog to be ordere by communities sec Eric Pickles to stop pressurising councils into abandoning weekly collections. He is writing to Audit Commission instructing it to withdraw guidance to local authotities to move to fortnightly collections.Does that mean BGCBC stops this before we even start? Hope so.

I live in the Newport area where we have fortnightly collections. It is an absolute living nightmare ! I have two small babies and the nappies alone fill my quota. The coucil's answer is that I should be using re-useable nappies - please god give me strength

All this has resulted in is me going to the skip once a week so their initiative slightly defeats the object. If I were you guys I would fight until the bitter end to keep weekly collections because fortnightly collections are a nightmare.
