Many thanks to dalex for sending in this photo of what he thinks is the Glanhowy Youth Football XI c 1947.

dalex added: "All of the players would now be about 80 years old. Extreme left and right respectively are Mr.Harry Harris and Mr.George Wilcox. I also recognise Glyn Lewis in back row second player from left. I wonder if anyone can name any more players. Faces are familiar and goalkeeper looks like Ray Foxhall."

Informed by his sister Dilys last night that captain with the ball is John Thomas of Ashvale - I think she said he lived at No. 3 Bryn Bach Street.

Correct it is Johnny Thomas and brother of Dennis Thomas a well known Chatacter

Yes the goalie is my dad Ray Foxhall. It was lovely to see this photograph. dad would have been so proud to have seen it himself... A great dad and a gentleman... I miss him so much .
