Evening Jazz, yes it's true you can no longer purchase slug pellets, you can try crushed eggshells, or sharp sand. Failing that, do what I do, go out into the garden at dusk with a sharp knife and cut the little blighters in half. There is one other very good tip, sink a few receptacles in strategic places, partly fill with beer, it's a really good bait, and the slugs die happy. Good luck. |

Sawdust is also a good slug deterrent, just sprinkle around your plants. Cold black tea is excellent for cleaning mirrors, windows. Tie old CD's to fruit trees to deter birds. from pinching the fruit. Roast eggshells in the oven for few minutes, crush them finely and add to your dog's food. Good source of calcium. Relieve sore feet/blisters, soak feet in warm water and Epsom salts. |

You can buy slug pellets but it is illegal for them to contain METALDEHYDE, the new ones contain ferric phosphate. I have hedgehogs in the garden so I don't use chemicals |
