Tredegar Corps of Drums is made up of men and women who are dedicated to playing and demonstrating marching music to the general public and to military organisations.
The founder members had belonged to another Corps of Drums and not being satisfied with the professional standards being achieved decided to break away and form their own Corps. Under the supervision of Geoff Blackshaw, Tredegar Corps of drums progressed to the stage of performing drum demonstrations, the group demonstrated at the Royal British Legion Club at Brynmawr, the St Georges Masonic Lodge, Tredegar and support the Tredegar Town Band for the annual Armistice Parade at Tredegar,as well as playing for the Remembrance Parade at Caerphilly.
