Hi, my grandmother recently asked me to do some research in to our family history regarding relatives on her fathers side. William Benamin Jones and Jimmy Jones came to skewen in the late 1800's early 1900's not quite sure which to look for work in this area, as they were miners, leaving behind family in Tredegar, these being his parents William and Sara Jones as well as Cyril, Will John, Samual (sammy) and Humphry their brothers. The only information we have is they were from Tredegar, Humphry was awarded the George Cross for services in Dunkerk, and that there was also a sister who was carnival queen but contracted Peumonia and died. We are looking for exsisting family if any one is still alive, we would love to hear from you. the only other piece of information i have is that William and Sara had in total 19 children but only 6/7 survived. Look forwards to hopefully getting a response.
